Pizza night and gluten-free eating can absolutely go together. This Gluten-free Oat Crust pizza recipe delivers that classic pizzeria experience: chewy, flavourful crust, bubbling cheese, and your favourite toppings, without any wheat flour. The dough starts with warm water, honey, and active dry yeast for proper rise and chew, then brings in canola oil and oat flour for a hearty, naturally gluten-free base that still feels familiar.
From there, the method stays wonderfully simple. You stir the yeast mixture into oat flour, knead until smooth using a little extra flour to keep things from sticking, and let the dough rest while the oven heats and you prep toppings. Pressed into a 14-inch pan, the crust bakes up thin and crisp at the edges, softer in the centre, and sturdy enough to hold everything from classic pepperoni and mozzarella to veggie-loaded combinations. Baking at 400°F (200°C) for about 15 minutes is all it takes for the crust to set and the cheese to melt into a golden, bubbling layer.
This is the kind of gluten-free recipe that makes life feel easier, not more complicated. Best of all, the timeline fits real life. From stirring the yeast to slicing the finished pizza, you are looking at around 35 minutes total, which is more or less the time it takes to choose toppings and wait for delivery. That makes this recipe a practical option for households that want gluten-free choices without feeling like they are missing out on the simple pleasure of a hot, handmade pizza straight from the oven.
