What is Canadian Food Focus?
Founded in 2019, Canadian Food Focus is a national organization with the goal of improving food literacy of Canadian consumers from farm-gate to plate. We explore how food is grown and raised and provide useful advice from experts to help people make confident food choices.
Our educational programming provides information about Canadian farming and food through articles, videos and social media posts created by experts including farmers, ranchers, dietitians, home economists, and chefs. Our website features sections for In Your Kitchen, Recipes, Health, Canadian Food Stories, On the Farm, What’s in Season and a new Learn to Cook area.

Who is on Board?
Canadian Food Focus is supported by Farm & Food Care SK, a not-for-profit organization that represents farm families and food producers. We also work closely with Farm & Food Care Ontario, Farm & Food Care Prince Edward Island, Agriculture in the Classroom Canada, Canadian Centre for Food Integrity and a host of other farmer and food organizations across Canada. This project is supported through the AgriCompetitiveness Program under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership, a federal-provincial-territorial initiative.
We are committed to providing accurate information and having productive conversations about food and farming. We do not advocate for individual companies or brands. Our content is developed by farmers, dietitians, home economists and other food and farming experts to ensure accuracy. We strive to provide balanced, factual, science-based information in a consumer-friendly way. Our goal is to help Canadians find answers to their questions and concerns about our food system.
