What is Canadian Food Focus?
Canadian Food Focus is a place to tell our food and farming stories. Explore how food is grown and raised, try recipes, and find useful advice from experts to help people make confident food choices. In short, we celebrate the Great Food Grown Here!
Our ultimate goal is to improve food literacy of Canadian consumers from farm to plate. We do this by providing information about farming and food through articles, videos and social media posts created by food influencers and experts including farmers, ranchers, dietitians, home economists, and chefs. Our website features sections for In Your Kitchen, Recipes, Health, Canadian Food Stories, On the Farm, What’s in Season and a new Learn to Cook area.

Disclosure
Canadian Food Focus is supported by Farm & Food Care Saskatchewan, a not-for-profit organization that represents farm families and food producers in our province. We also partner with Farm & Food Care Ontario, Farm & Food Care Prince Edward Island, and the Canadian Centre for Food Integrity. This project was also made possible through the AgriCompetitiveness Program under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership, a federal-provincial-territorial initiative. We are committed to providing accurate information and having productive conversations about food and farming. We do not advocate for individual companies or brands.
Our content is developed by farmers, dietitians, home economists and other food and farming experts to ensure accuracy. We strive to provide balanced, factual, science-based information in a consumer-friendly way. Our goal is to help Canadians find answers to their questions and concerns about our food system.
