“A big hello! I’m Sue Mah @suemahrd, a Registered Dietitian and Professional Home Economist. My love affair with food started at an early age and I was influenced from my Chinese chef dad who cooked delicious, wholesome meals every day! I remember getting ready for a provincial track and field meet in elementary school. My dad made noodles for my breakfast, telling me that carbohydrates were important for energy and endurance. This sparked my interest in the power of nutrition for sports and health! I went on to study food and nutritional sciences as well as a graduate degree at the University of Toronto. In my work, I’m happiest when I can inspire others to eat well, live well, and enjoy food without guilt – by sharing sensible tips and advice through nutrition videos, TV interviews or nutrition training courses. In my free time, you can catch me at a hot yoga class, out for a long walk with my dog, or baking something special for my family. I’m looking forward to celebrating my food stories with you!”⁣ 📷: #CdnFoodFocus contributor @suemahrd Follow her profile for more #cdnfoodstories 🌱🌱🌱⁣ #CDNFoodFocus #CDNFoodFocusContributor #EatWellLiveWell #MeetADietitian #DaughterOfAChef #FoodLover #MediaDietitian #Food #PowerOfFood #FoodForHealth #FoodForSport #FoodForFitness #Fitness #FoodAndFitness #FoodIsLove #LoveIsFood #HealthyLife

“Happy Food Day Canada! Today marks the 16th annual celebration in praise of our farmers, fishers, growers, chefs, researchers and home cooks. It’s a day to honour and be thankful for all of our amazing Canadian food! As a Registered Dietitian, Professional Home Economist and nutrition blogger, I always love learning about agriculture and our home grown food. Here’s a picture of a high tunnel strawberry farm in beautiful Norfolk, Ontario. Did you know that through this innovation, delicious local strawberries are available for a longer season? To celebrate Food Day Canada this year, I’ll be grilling some corn and peaches on the BBQ, plus baking a pavlova for dessert topped with fresh whipped cream and plenty of local blueberries, strawberries and raspberries. What’s your favourite Canadian grown food? ⁣ 📷: #CdnFoodFocus contributor @suemahrd Follow her profile for more #cdnfoodstories 🌱🌱🌱#CDNFoodFocus #CDNFoodFocusContributor #MeetADietitian #FoodDayCanada #Canada #EatWellLiveWell #Food #GrownInCanada #Homegrown #LoveToEat #BerryLover #Strawberries #Blueberries #Raspberries
