can chickpeas,
rinsed and drained

canola oil

garlic clove
1
egg
1/4

breadcrumbs
1
cup
chopped green onions
1/2
cup
finely chopped fresh parsley

tsp
dried rosemary

lemon zest

tsp
Worcestershire sauce

drops hot sauce

ground black pepper
canola oil for brushing burgers

whole wheat buns

Instructions
In a skillet, toast pecans until lightly browned, about 3 to 4 minutes. Let cool.
In a food processor, purée pecans, chickpeas, canola oil, garlic, and egg until smooth. Transfer to a large bowl and stir in breadcrumbs.
Add green onions, parsley, rosemary, lemon zest, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
Form into 4 patties. Brush patties with canola oil and either grill on a barbeque or sauté in a skillet over medium heat.
Place patties on buns, top with cheese and your choice of condiments.
