Chocolate ’n Chocolate Chip Cookies

Servings: 36 cookies
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole barley flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/3 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and gradually add sugars. Beat in vanilla, then beat in eggs. Gradually stir flour mixture into egg mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 9 to 11 minutes or until centres are set but still soft.
- Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes and then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
