Preparing homemade pumpkin purée is a great way to get kids involved in the kitchen. They can seed, scoop out the flesh, and help purée and flavour the seeds for roasting. Bonus: They’re much more likely to try it if they’re involved in preparing it!

Try this very moist and rich cake for Thanksgiving. The canola oil creates such a moist cake that you can leave it out on the counter for the day and it will not be dry.

Instead of eating them immediately, let them rest briefly after cooking. The heat inside the waffles will finish cooking them, and you will taste the pumpkin and spice flavours at their best if the waffles aren’t piping hot.
