In February, our Managing Director, Dorothy Long participated in a panel discussion on Public Perceptions of Agriculture at the Canadian Federation of Agriculture (CFA) Annual General Meeting alongside esteemed colleagues from Fertilizer Canada, Canadian Centre for Food Integrity / Centre canadien pour l’intégrité alimentaire, Canadian Aquaculture Industry Alliance, and Agriculture in the Classroom Canada.

The session delved into the critical topic of engaging Canadians and building confidence in our food system, as well as, exploring how we collaborate on this important work of building trust in Canadian agriculture and food. The AGM’s theme, “Laying the Foundation: Investing Today for the Future of Canadian Agriculture,” was a perfect jumping off point for this important discussion.
A huge thank you to Scott Ross, Catherine Burns and Laurie Karson from the Canadian Federation of Agriculture for facilitating this important dialogue and showcasing the work of our public trust organizations. Thanks also to fellow panelists: Catherine King, Lisa Bishop-Spencer, Luree Williamson and Tim Kennedy.
