On Thursday, April 9th, our Managing Director, Dorothy Long, will participate in an industry discussion on building trust in Canadian agriculture and food. The event will be part of the Canadian Produce Marketing Association’s Convention and Trade Show in Montreal, April 7-11, 2025.
This timely conversation addresses the growing consumer awareness and potential scrutiny of food production practices, particularly regarding social and environmental aspects. As consumers become more knowledgeable about their food choices, they are increasingly concerned with issues such as labour practices, environmental responsibility, and social accountability in the food production process.
The session will explore various strategies to foster consumer trust, including sharing grower stories, demonstrating compliance through audits, and other initiatives. Industry members will discuss efforts to showcase why consumers can have confidence in the food produced for their tables.
